Some things can only be explained from the hidden regions of the heart. Les petits bonheurs are all the little things that make each day a miracle. May I share my feast with you?

Now I know what love is...
Happy 1st full day of Spring, Bach's birthday, and the 31st anniversary of my marriage!
I love looking back to where we began, seeing us as we were at the beginning, then slowly leafing through the memories we've made together to bring us to where we are today... I love anticipating the days ahead of us, wondering what we'll find in each other, in ourselves, before another year has slipped away... But, best of all I love being with you where we are today, together writing the pages we'll remember tomorrow. ~ Unknown
I put this poem in the memory scrapbook we created for my parent's 50th anniversary. I think it a beautiful sentiment for any day of any marriage.
May your day and evening be filled with warm remembrances and new joy in each other.
If I were as clever as you, I would write a little poem or make some deliciously naughty pun. Instead, I offer you my humble, but sincere, sentiments. Congratulations on your beautiful and FRUITFUL marriage. 31 hugs and kisses for you and your handsome man. -Miz S
A second opportunity to wish you Happy Anniversary and heart-felt congratulations. 31 years sounds so romantic to me. "It was the best of times, the worst..." No,no,no, that was another story altogether. Still, 31 years represents far more than the delightful fits of chemistry you allude to here and there: it is true and committed and well, like that splendid rock with waves behind you. A toast to you and Bruce!
Congratulations! In this day and age, 31 years is no mean feat. Great shot too, with the sky and the sea. So romantic, so beautiful, so blue. Matches what you're wearing too.
About my "empty nest", I have only one chick and she will be 21 next month. Already the cell phone calls have diminished as she has grown into her own. It has been "just we two" since she was one and I reshaped my life around her with days working to support her financially and nights cuddling and sewing and playing to support her in everything else. I manage on very little sleep, always have. I wondered what I would do, or rather how I would feel when she left to be on her own. It has been a gradual process but in one more year it will likely be complete. She may end up back at the place of her birth in Oklahoma and I will be as my mom was, a 24 hours drive away.
But, as things have turned out and with those curves life throws, my nest has again become one with my parents. Now I try to take care of them. So, not really empty... just very different.
"We only regard those unions as real examples of love and real marriages in which a fixed and unalterable decision has been taken. If men or women contemplate an escape, they do not collect all their powers for the task. In none of the serious and important tasks of life do we arrange such a "getaway." We cannot love and be limited." --Adler
Happy Anniversary, dear Bonnie. 31 years in this day and age? Now, THAT'S romantic. I've got 30, so you win this round.
If two were ever one, then surely we. If ever man were lov'd by wife, then thee. If ever wife was happy in a man Compare with me, ye woman, if you can. I prize thy love more than whole mines of gold, Or all the riches that the East doth hold. My love is such that all the Rivers cannot quench, Nor ought be love from thee give recompense. Thy love is such I can no way repay; The heavens reward thee manifold I pray. Then while we live, in love lets so persever, That when we live no more, we may live ever.

Happy Anniversary my dear Babette! With your beauty, grace, faith, peacefulness, humor, understanding and humility you will surely be together another 31+
I live on a forested mountain with my beloved husband and our large family. Less is more, except where children are concerned. My favorite pastimes are practicing yoga on my side deck, learning how to improvise on the cello, and boating into the Puget Sound with my sweetheart.

Happy belated anniversary to you and your DH! Are those the seastacks in OR? I ask because I've been to Cannon Beach and Seaside.
Felicitations! In Haiti we would say, Se gnou bel bagay. It's a good thing. May you have 31 more years of marriage with your wonderful partner.

Happy Anniversary!
Happy Spring!
I am indeed enjoying my spouse.
You are an inspiration and a joy in my life, Babette.

In this I learn to be content.
