Is right here in disguise?
And, what if the stars you've been reaching so high for
Are shining in his eyes?

Don't look at yourself in the same old way;
Take another picture.
Shoot the stars off in your own backyard!
Don't look any further
And you will see,
It's the stuff that dreams are made of...

Gather with loved ones to celebrate the 4th of July, read the Declaration of Independence, thank God from Whom all blessings flow, and call your mother!

these lyrics make me happy, Babette! Coming by to wish you a happy Independence Day- hope you're enjoying good weather and family fun.
Oh! We come winging in August 18!
I love the art, but had to make do with July 3rd with my kiddies. They are very independent these days. (sniff) I did see my parents today though!
I had to make do without any of my kiddies this holiday, but I will see them again soon. I love your illustrations; especially the first one. I hope you are having a wonderful Independence Day.
Happy Independence Day. :D Ciao, Darling! :D
I knew who wrote that song when I read the first line. My last year in college I listened to that album every day. Love Carly and I love that song.
We are having a great day. I know you are, too.
I will look for that book.

We had a nice, quiet 4th of July, we read the Declaration, but I cannot call my mother, as she died in 1992. Can I call yours instead?
A belated Happy 4th of July.... also add to the readings... the speech of Patrick Henry... quite rousing!
I just found you through another blog I like to visit. The name of your blog just sounded like somewhere I'd like to stop for a bit, and I've enjoyed my time here.
The first picture is one my husband loves, and we have a print of it framed in our bedroom. There's so much depth in it, don't you think?
I'm fairly new to the Pacific Northwest, but love it already. If I didn't live just across the border now, your site makes me want to call you up at take a beginner's yoga class. But you've motivated me to try to find someone here to help me get started.
Hope you don't mind having a total stranger come and stay for a bit of a visit on your blog. It's been nice, and I'd like to come by again someday soon.
Cheers for the red, white and BLUE!
We could not watch fireworks on the Fourth of July as we were waiting for our Spartan son to clear customs at Detroit Metro. He brought back four bottles of Russian vodka--a Spartan through and through.
A few days late, but at least Blogger is letting me in. I know you had a great 4th from your comment on my blog.
A thoughtful post, as usual. You are special.
Hey, I did call my mother!! Happy Independence Day!
