Some things can only be explained from the hidden regions of the heart. Les petits bonheurs are all the little things that make each day a miracle. May I share my feast with you?

About Me
- Babette
- I live on a forested mountain with my beloved husband and our large family. Less is more, except where children are concerned. My favorite pastimes are practicing yoga on my side deck, learning how to improvise on the cello, and boating into the Puget Sound with my sweetheart.

a friend of mine went to a new yoga class and the yoga instructor was totally hitting on this woman, repositioning her a lot and asking her for her phone number afterward.
I said, "oh, that's my friend babette! she's a really good teacher!"
Some of those look delightfully relaxing, but others look like OUCH. I imagine that one must work into them. A few remind me of Cirque du soleil. Aie!
I am looking toward the time when I can resume yoga. :-( Eventually, I'll be able to stretch again- I hope. I had no idea they were going to take such a big chunk out of my back- arrghh. Every time I reach or turn or bend I'm reminded not to do it by the pull of deep stitches. So- I'll watch this video over and over and practice my breathing and relaxation. It's nice to find the essence of you here again!
Seriously, you should put some kind of medical disclaimer on these yoga positions--for instance, saying, "Warning: Injury may occur if improperly done."
My youngest son injured his back on some type of yoga-style apparatus in Russia while he was studying there this summer. He is still in great pain and now requires physical therapy. You know how fragile Spartans can be, right?
I feel so much better after watching that video.
Can you do all those, Babette? I took a yoga class once, and it was all I could do to get into position....LOL. That woman is remarkable!
Michelle~I wouldn't dream of hitting one of my yoga students. They are blessings to me!
Margaret~There is no ouch in yoga. Yogis love the preposition, toward, and the adverb, eventually.
Vicki~Gentle, restorative yoga poses to the rescue!
Dave~Yoga is non-competitive, even with one's self. A practitioner goes into a pose until it feels like a sweet stretch. Then, there are no injuries.
4 and 0!
Fragile?! No!!
Go, STATE, Go!!!
Beverly~I was cheering for Penn State and I'm glad the video helped. I always need a little yoga when U of M wins at football.
Kenju~This is the type of practice I do and teach. There are some arm balances that I'm still working toward, but I look forward to achieving them, eventually, and to the enjoyment of practicing and experimenting with them in the meantime. Yoga brings patience. I would love to take a class with you, Judy! I know you have a great attitude!!
Looks like she's at White Sands, NM...I love that place and I'm gonna take my husband there someday.
